On October 6 2026, the Union Cabinet headed by the Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi approved a Rs 10,000 crore (Cr) commitment to establish the Small, Medium Enterprise (SME) Growth Fund (SGF) for direct equity investments in SME.

9. DRDO Conducts Flight Trial of HAPS for Stratospheric Surveillance

11. World Bank Raises India’s GDP Growth Forecast to 7.1% for FY27
