Kannada Language RequirementMandatory. Candidates who have not passed the Kannada language exam notified under Govt. Order No. GAD 43 SEN 2020 dated 5.3.2021 (as amended by Govt. Order No. GAD 102 SEN 2022 dated 24-03-2025) – i.e., those who have not passed Kannada as first or second language at PUC/equivalent level – must pass a Kannada language test with a minimum of 50 marks out of 150 (in a paper of one question booklet) to be eligible. Candidates who have previously passed the Karnataka Rajyotsava Kannada exam are exempted from this requirement.
